lucky if you want it.
I decided this afternoon to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The original one with Gene Wilder, in other words…”The Good One”. And Grandpa Joe says “You have more chance than anyone else of getting the golden ticket because you want it more”. Or words to that effect. And it struck me, how true this could be. (dont worry i’ll explain)
Now don’t get me wrong, I dont put all my faith in luck, thats imprudent. However its just as imprudent not to make a little “wiggle room” for it.
Like I was saying though, what Grandpa Joe said got me thinking. My luck in life has never been good. Now I don’t mean the big things, I have a loving family and a nice home. But my LUCKY LUCK LUCK, the stuff you call on in competitions and raffles or tombola’s, has always been utterly useless. This was why Grandpa Joe’s words struck me. I’ve never really believed I was going to win anything, I wanted it, but my desire was always clouded by pessimism.
So I’m wondering if I do away with the pessimism and take on an arrogant approach to my luck, when and where its required. If my luck will improve. As to Grandpa Joes philosophy. So I’m being quite arrogant about it. I want tomorrow nights lottery win lol.
